Acceldata expands data observability platform with new data reliability capabilities | Learn more

New Gartner® Research Report Reflects Growing Interest in Data Observability

While building complex enterprise data systems at some of the world’s largest companies, our founders, Rohit, Ashwin, Raghu, Gaurav realized how critical it is for enterprises to have a modern data solution to monitor, investigate, remediate and manage their data pipelines across complex interconnected data systems.

They coined the term “Data Observability'' and founded  Acceldata way back in 2018!

Acceldata signed its first customer a few months after its founding and since then we continue to innovate and help data engineering, data quality, and data reliability teams succeed in their data journey across cloud-native, multi-cloud, hybrid cloud or on-premises data systems.

Unlike other tools on the market, the Acceldata Data Observability platform is multidimensional, providing insights into compute, pipelines, reliability and usage for the modern data stack. It synthesizes signals across infrastructure, application, and data layers to provide a comprehensive understanding of individual components, data pipelines, and system performance.

Enterprises such as Oracle, PhonePe (Walmart), Dun & Bradstreet, Pratt & Whitney, Pubmatic, HealthEdge, and True Digital, have experienced tremendous success with our Data Observability platform and many more use Acceldata to build great data-driven products.

Gartner Report: “Quick Answer: What is Data Observability?”

The latest Gartner Research report provides an excellent summary of "Data Observability" and we thank Gartner for mentioning Acceldata as a solution provider. The report mentions that "Data Observability has now become essential to support as well as augment existing and modern data management architectures."

Acceldata fully endorses this view and we believe that Data Observability will disrupt and replace many legacy and current data management tools.

In the report, Gartner stated:

“Data observability is the ability of an organization to have a broad visibility of its data landscape and multilayer data dependencies (like data pipelines, data infrastructure, data applications) at all times with an objective to identify, control, prevent, escalate and remediate data outages rapidly within expectable SLAs. Data observability uses continuous multilayer signal collection, consolidation and analysis to achieve its goals as well as to inform and recommend better design for superior performance and better governance to match business goals.”

Gartner Analyst Ankush Jain, author of the informative report, “Quick Answer: What is Data Observability?” discusses four approaches to Data Observability. Note: From the early days, the Acceldata Data Observability platform was architected for and includes these four approaches to Data Observability, which we call “multidimensional”.
